The order
July 3: I Paid $1,799 for a G90 M5 Exhaust
On July 3, 2026 I ordered a G90/G99 M5 Valved Exhaust System from Midwest Bimmer Supply for $1,799. I expected a legitimate performance exhaust with clear communication and a reasonable delivery timeline.
Instead I spent the next seven weeks trying to understand where my exhaust was, how it was being manufactured, and why nobody would simply call me.

Weeks 1–3
Production updates
The company describes production in in-house terms: the wrong weave laid on the tips, 80+ exhausts in production, the jig in use, and a stated 15–22 business day range.
Week 4
Overseas manufacturing disclosed
“The systems are made international in Korea.” The package is described as heading to a California port for customs inspection.
Week 5
Tracking without movement
A FedEx tracking number exists, but the order shows no delivery updates. FedEx is described as taking possession only after customs clearance.
Week 6
No phone support
Repeated requests for a call from a manager. The company states it does not offer over-the-phone support.

Order canceled and refunded
The company processes a full refund after the customer had asked for the order to stay open, citing messages it viewed as threatening.
The production story
They Made It Sound Like They Were Building It
IMG_4360
Production discussion and the 15–22 business day range
Instagram business chat. The company describes the exhaust as “already completed,” says the wrong weave was laid for the tips, references 80+ exhausts in production and a jig in use, and states it has been 19 business days against a stated 15–22 day range.
"Your exhaust was already completed but we laid the wrong weave for the exhaust tips so we had to have those remade."
Midwest Bimmer Supply
"we have over 80+ exhaust in productions."
Midwest Bimmer Supply
"sometimes we have the jig in use."
Midwest Bimmer Supply
"it has been 19 business days as we do state the 15-22 day range."
Midwest Bimmer Supply
The company spoke about production using phrases such as "we laid the wrong weave" and "we have the jig in use." Those statements gave me the impression that Midwest Bimmer Supply was directly involved in fabricating my exhaust.
The company later explained that its exhaust systems are manufactured internationally.
This page does not claim the company promised American manufacturing. It documents only the language used in the messages shown above.
Overseas manufacturing
Then They Said the Exhaust Was Made in Korea
"The systems are made international in Korea."
Midwest Bimmer Supply
"its set to arrive at the CA port for customs inspection."
Midwest Bimmer Supply
After questioning why an exhaust associated with a Chicago-based company was headed toward a California port before reaching Florida, I finally received an explanation: according to Midwest Bimmer Supply the exhaust was manufactured internationally and would need to clear United States customs.
The issue is not that imported products automatically lack quality. The issue is that the manufacturing location and international fulfillment process were not clearly understood when I placed my order.
The company identified Korea as the manufacturing location. That claim has not been independently verified.

Company states exhaust systems are manufactured in Korea
“The systems are made international in Korea… its set to arrive at the CA port for customs inspection early next week.” The company also states the pipes are T304 and offers a reroute plus refund if the exhaust is unwanted.
The tracking problem
A FedEx Number Existed. The Exhaust Still Had No Delivery Updates.
"When we send over a tracking number it may take 7-10 business days for that tracking number to update."
Midwest Bimmer Supply
"they go through another shipping carrier on the way to the CA port."
Midwest Bimmer Supply
"Fedex/UPS will take possession of the package once its cleared."
Midwest Bimmer Supply
"The whole process is estimated to take 15-20 business days."
Midwest Bimmer Supply
Midwest Bimmer Supply provided a FedEx tracking number but explained that FedEx would not actually take possession of the package until an international carrier brought the exhaust to California and customs cleared it.
That meant a tracking number did not indicate that FedEx had received the exhaust or that final delivery was imminent.

No phone support
A $1,799 Order and Nobody Would Get on the Phone

Midwest Bimmer Supply
As the situation continued I repeatedly asked for a phone call from a manager or someone who could explain what was happening. Midwest Bimmer Supply informed me that it did not offer phone support.
A five-minute conversation could have resolved much of the confusion. Instead the experience consisted of automated replies, text messages, unanswered questions and growing frustration.
I also asked for help with the intake installation and for a recommended shop to install the exhaust. Those requests are shown in the messages below; I make no claim here about how each individual request was handled internally.

I said not to cancel
They Offered Two Options. I Chose to Keep the Order Open.
Option offered
"Keep the order open, wait the additional few business days for it to update."
Option offered
"Or let us reroute the system to our location, and cancel the order for it."
My answer
"Keep the order open."
The company offered me a choice: continue waiting or cancel the order. I explicitly chose to continue waiting because I wanted the exhaust I had already spent weeks expecting.
A related message thread, shown below, records the same position in my own words: "I want the exhaust" and "I don't want a refund."

Included for completeness rather than as an endorsement. The customer repeats “I don't want a refund” and “deliver my exhaust,” alongside heated messages about reviews and advertising that the company later cited as its reason for ending the transaction.

They canceled anyway
They Refunded the Order I Explicitly Told Them Not to Cancel
"Hello, we have processed a full refund for the exhaust."
Midwest Bimmer Supply
"I specifically said don't refund it. I want it."
Customer
After nearly seven weeks of waiting, Midwest Bimmer Supply canceled the exhaust and initiated a refund even though I had previously told the company to keep the order open.
A refund may return the purchase price, but it does not return seven weeks of waiting or resolve the unanswered questions about production, sourcing, delivery and customer support.
To be clear: the company initiated the refund. It did not keep the money and it did not refuse to refund the order.

Company explains why it canceled the order
The company writes that it received multiple threats, references “running ads to bash our company” and “you will buy one and compare and make a video,” states it is not comfortable continuing business, and confirms the refund was initiated with funds arriving in 3–5 business days.

"you will buy one and compare and make a video"
Midwest Bimmer Supply
"We do not feel comfortably whatsoever with continuing to do business with you."
Midwest Bimmer Supply
Midwest Bimmer Supply stated that it no longer felt comfortable continuing the transaction because it viewed my messages about negative advertising, reviews and a comparison video as threatening.
The company says it canceled because it considered my communications threatening. My position is that I was frustrated after weeks of delays, unclear sourcing, inactive tracking and repeated requests for a direct conversation.
Both perspectives belong here. The conversation escalated, and the screenshots in the gallery below include those messages rather than hiding them.
This page does not claim that avoiding a review was the company's sole motive, and screenshots are presented in full rather than cropped to change their meaning.

Why I Started Asking Questions About Overseas Suppliers
After learning that the exhaust was manufactured internationally, I located a visually similar G90 M5 exhaust listing from an overseas supplier.
Midwest Bimmer Supply product

Similar-looking overseas listing
Approximate price for one unit, with lower bulk pricing shown on the listing.
Visual similarity does not establish that the products are identical, use the same materials, come from the same manufacturer, or meet the same quality standards. This page does not claim Midwest Bimmer Supply purchased from that supplier, and a search-engine summary is not treated as proof of manufacturing origin. The overseas listing screenshot has not been published here.
Unresolved
Questions Midwest Bimmer Supply Never Resolved for Me
Why was the international manufacturing process not clear when I ordered?
Why did the production updates sound like direct in-house fabrication?
Why was a FedEx tracking number issued before FedEx possessed the package?
Why did the order show no meaningful delivery updates after weeks of waiting?
Why was the additional customs and international shipping timeline disclosed only after I started asking questions?
Why was nobody available to discuss a $1,799 order by phone?
Why was the exhaust canceled after I explicitly selected the option to keep the order open?
Why did the company cite my plans to compare and review the product when explaining its decision to end the transaction?
